ProSafe CDL test services trace our roots back to one of Indiana's most successful manufacturing companies – Cummins Engine. While employed by Cummins, Chris Welch pioneered the development of the Cummins Professional Training Center, a truck driver training school which served central Indiana. After a buyout of Cummins Professional Training Center by Mr. Welch and his business partner, Sam Sutphin, the truck driving school eventually came to be called C1 Truck Driver Training. C1 continued to provide CDL testing services as an extension of the truck driving school.
In 2007, our Indiana CDL test division became known as ProSafe CDL. The name change to ProSafe CDL is a reflection of the professional standards and high ethics the company's founders hold so dear. Ensuring the integrity of the CDL testing process is the highest priority. By conducting proper CDL testing of drivers, ProSafe CDL is helping to keep the highways of Indiana safe.
The CDL skills testing is administered by state-trained and certified CDL examiners. Each examiner provides a professional and courteous testing environment for all drivers. ProSafe CDL employs CDL examiners with years of driving and transportation industry experience. The staff can also provide customized CDL training ranging from 4 hours to 40 hours depending on the driver's needs and experience level.
